TPLO
Tibial-plateau-levelling osteotomy
Fusion Implants TPLO plates are anatomically designed based on post-TPLO bone morphology and matched to osteotomy blade radius, with sizes derived from population clustering and manufactured from medical-grade Ti-6Al-4V using advanced 3D printing and finishing processes.
Successful TPLO relies on careful preoperative planning, including accurate radiographic measurement of the preoperative TPA, selection of a blade radius and corresponding Fusion plate, and a target postoperative TPA of approximately 5°.
The procedure involves thorough stifle assessment and meniscal management, precise radial osteotomy execution, controlled rotation to neutralise tibial thrust, and temporary stabilisation before plate placement. Standard layered closure is performed following lavage and pes anserinus reattachment, with implant and screw selection guided by Fusion’s compatibility and body-weight recommendations.
- Fusion Implants TPLO plates are anatomically designed based on post-TPLO bone morphology and matched to osteotomy blade radius
- Fusion plates require minimal contouring due to their anatomic design
- 3 locking screw holes proximally, and in the distal segment have 2x dynamic compression holes and 1x locking holes from sizes 12-24
- 4 locking screw holes proximally, and in the distal segment have 2x dynamic compression holes and 2x locking holes at size 27
