Pedicle Rod System
Pedicle Screws
The Pedicle Screw is designed to mimic a standard locking screw thread pattern, has a relatively large core diameter, to provide a greater area of force, which helps resistance to cyclic loading and failure.
The rod is introduced to the head of the screw; it is compressed by a separate threaded implant called a ‘set screw’ or ‘cap’. This compression onto the surface of the rod, onto the integrated washer and finally onto the head of the screw provides rigidity to the fixation.
- Standard AO screw sizes available in a wide range of lengths across 2.0 mm, 2.7 mm, and 3.5 mm diameters, including extended-length 3.5 mm screws that are particularly useful for transpedicular fixation in ventral cervical constructs
- Pre-cut rods supplied in a variety of lengths to accommodate different construct requirements and reduce intra-operative preparation time
- Cross bars designed to link the construct, improving overall stability and enhancing resistance to screw pull-out
