HISS
Humeral Intracondylar Stabilisation System
HISS and HISS Small are designed to optimise mechanical strength and minimise complications for cases of Humeral Intracondylar Fissure (HIF) and humeral condylar fractures.
The implant is titanium alloy, self-tapping, headless, and self-compressing; the implant that generates compression through differential thread pitch between the cis-thread and trans-thread once engaged.
The drill-bits are implant specific and are designed to simultaneously drill a hole of varying diameter.
Available in two variants—HISS Small and HISS—with core diameters of 2.9 mm and 4.0 mm, respectively. Derived from biometric data, HISS Small (based on French Bulldog morphology) is intended for smaller dogs or puppies, while HISS (based on English Springer Spaniel data) is suited to medium–larger dogs; both should be used only in appropriately selected cases.
Screw lengths are offered in 2 mm increments (HISS Small: 24–30 mm; HISS: 28–36 mm) and should closely match the measured tunnel length, with upsizing recommended where measurements fall between sizes.
